Insurance agent motivation: Stop thinking small

Whether it’s showing small premiums, setting small income goals, or whatever insurance agents don’t think big enough. And this causes stunted potential for growth.

Everyone has a level of potential. In our experience, it seems most people are far away from reaching their potential.

How can you remedy this? By thinking bigger.

Set larger goals, have greater aspirations, and realize that you can hit them if you try harder. If you don’t, you’ll accomplish more than if you set a smaller goal.

There’s a saying regarding this: “Shoot for the moon and land among the stars.”

How to think bigger

One way to think bigger and have the motivation to attack your higher targets is to take a look at the content you consume.

What you put into your mind is as important as what you put in your stomach. So, follow someone, learn from them, and figure out what they did to get attention, grow in revenue, and help a lot of people. You can do the exact same thing.

Don’t read this incorrectly. We’re not saying to try to become the exact same person. Be you, but your mentor has provided you the path to success. Try to add their skills to your repertoire.

Be sure to surround yourself with people who support you as well. Negativity wears on the psyche and hold you back.

Once you’ve set a large goal, place a few small goals used as “stepping stones” that keep you on track to crushing your large, overall goal. This will keep you motivated as you continue to check things off your to-do list.
